Preface
In creating this, I am still in the US not knowing what to do with the free time I have before departure - spending my last moments with family and friends bulking up on my favorite cuisines, doing last minute travel preparations, and figuring out how to work a Blog... which is funny cause I sure don't keep up with any...
But, on January 21st I take off for Boston University's International Development Program in Niamey, Niger. I have a few expectations, a few goals, and a few fears about my upcoming experience, but I know that it is the opportunity of a lifetime.. Thanks Mom and Dad for paying for it ;) With this blog I intend to keep everyone who is interested posted on all the shocks, surprises, adventures, comforts, and qualms about my journeys... Whenever something interesting happens I'll do my best to record it!
I know I have tons to learn from my time abroad, and I'm eager to find out just how different everything feels over there. Regardless of how often I report, I will be missing and loving everyone daily from the African Continent!! XOXO
